HowTo Video Tutorial Script (265 words)

Quickly access your favorite apps without leaving the one you’re in. Here’s how to use Slide Over in iPadOS.

We’ll cover how to add apps to Slide Over, view them, and make an app full screen.

To add an app to Slide Over, just swipe up from the bottom of the screen to pull up the Dock, touch and hold the app you want to add, and then drag it to the side of your screen. Repeat this process for any other apps you want to add to Slide Over.

You’ve now got a couple of ways to view your apps.

Swipe left from the right edge of the screen to open Slide Over. Then drag sideways along the bar at the bottom edge to cycle between your apps. This is helpful if you need to glance at your calendar; Twitter feed; or for sharing information between apps, like a link or a photo.

You can also see all the apps you currently have open in the Slide Over at the same time. To do this, swipe up from the bar at the bottom of the Slide Over window, and you’ll see your open apps fan out. Tap an app to use it.

Want your Slide Over app to go full screen? Just drag the bar at the top of the app to the top center of the screen, and it will go full screen. Now you can check all your favorite apps at a glance.
